Kieran Maguire - Interview Two

For my second interview, I wanted to gain a general view of the impact Covid-19 has had on football across the pyramid from Premier League to Non-league. Someone with the knowledge and experience with football finances, who understands all the technical stuff, and their way around a balance sheet.

For that, there was only one man for the job, and fortunately, he agreed in Kieran Maguire. For those of you not familiar with Kieran he is a lecturer in finance and accounting at Liverpool University, author of 'the price of football', podcast host of a show by the same name and has picked up a large following on Twitter with over 52,000, followers because of his knowledge of football finances - anything he doesn't know about the topic isn't worth knowing.

Kieran gave a great interview with a great insight into the financial implications from the pandemic on football across all levels, how football clubs are working around the challenge, what further support is needed and his prediction for the future of clubs and football as a whole.
