Having spoken to a non-league chairman, a football economist and a founding member at Bury AFC it was imperative I spoke to a representative of an EFL club to find out if they have same issues as non-league sides, what they're doing to combat the financial implications of the pandemic and what help was needed.
Having contacted every League One and Two sides I was put into contact with Danny Macklin the CEO of Leyton Orient who gave up his time to discuss the impact the pandemic has had on his club, and on football as a whole at their level, the ways his club have been keeping afloat including that partnership with Harry Kane, his prediction for the future and what further help is needed in terms of finances and regulation. Check out the full unedited interview below.
